After graduating from one of the country’s top medical schools, New York City’s Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, I have been a practicing psychiatrist for more than six years. I have helped people with a wide range of difficulties and across many settings such as inpatient units, emergency rooms, hospital beds and outpatient settings. I have relished teaching and engaging with medical students and psychiatry residents in my work as an Assistant Professor within the Mount Sinai Health System. Most recently, I was invited to help develop a start-up tele-psychiatry firm while serving as their Assistant Director. These experiences led me to realize that I can provide the most impactful treatment in private practice where I can spend the most time working with people who are looking to feel and do better. While continuing my affiliation with several major hospitals in New York City, it is my work with my patients in private practice that is my primary focus.
Most psychiatrists are well-trained in using medications to help people. I believe that psychotherapy is just as important and in some cases even more effective in providing the greatest relief. This belief propelled me to pursue additional clinical training through several fellowships including the Psychoanalytic Fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.
